Esta es mi historia:



Esteban Palencia
Nací en Bogotá el 31 de diciembre de 1984. Terminé mis estudios del colegio a los 15 años y en ese momento conocí y comencé a montar BMX Freestyle. Pero el hecho de montar en bicicleta es una de las pasiones más grandes que haya tenido desde que era niño y tan solo tuviera 4 años, edad en la que aprendí a montar en bicicleta.


Durante los primeros 4 meses aproximadamente practiqué un poco de street, sin embargo mi futuro en el BMX se inclinó hacia el flatland luego de que lo descubrí. Esto ocurrió al principio del año 2001.


La primera vez que participe en una competencia fue en septiembre de 2001, y allí logre conseguir la tercera posición en la categoría de novatos. Desde ese entonces y hasta el 2004 no participe en ninguna competencia puesto que no me entere en ese lapso de tiempo de competencias en mi país. Desde el 2004 en adelante ya ha habido varias y mis resultados pueden ser observados en la sección de competencias.

En el año 2002 comencé a estudiar en la universidad una carrera que se llama Tecnología Industrial y de la cual he aprendido bastante para desarrollar tres proyectos alrededor de mi deporte.


El primero es Colombiaflat que fue la primera página de flatland en Colombia creada el 29 de agosto del 2004. El segundo es Tienda Flatland, también la primera tienda de flatland en Colombia creada a mitad del 2006. Y el tercero es Magicflart, una competencia de flatland.


Ahora estoy dedicado a progresar en mi flatland y trabajando por mis tres proyectos.

Esteban Palencia
I have born in Bogotá on December 31, 1984. I finished my studies of the school at the age of 15 and in that moment I knew and started to ride BMX Freestyle. But, to ride in bicycle is one of the biggest passions that I had since was a child and only was 4 years old, age in which I learned to mount in bicycle.


During the first 4 months approximately I practised a bit of street, nevertheless my future in the BMX was inclined towards the flatland after it discovered this sport. This happened initially of the year 2001.


The first time that takes part in a competition was in September, 2001. There, I obtain the third position in the novices’ category. From this then and even 2004 I do not take part in any competition because there I did not know competitions in this space of time in my country. From 2004 onwards already there have been several and my results can be observed in the contest section.

In the year 2002, I began to study in the university a career called "Industrial Technology" and of which I have learned many things for to develop three projects about my sport.


The first one is "Colombiaflat" that was the first Web page of flatland in Colombia, created August 29, 2004. The second one is "Tienda Flatland", also the first shop of flatland in Colombia, created to half of 2006. And the third one is "Magicflart", a flatland contest.


Now I am dedicated to progress in my flatland and working for my three projects.
